Update on April 2020 South Jersey Region SCCA Events
You are receiving this note as a member of the South Jersey Region SCCA, as someone who is currently entered for the JRRC, or as a regional board member in neighboring regions.
You may have questions about our April track day and race events, including:
- Track Sprints on April 5
- JRRC/MARRS 2 road racing along with Track Day and Track Sprint events April 17-19
- Autocross April 26
This is an evolving situation. What we know so far is:
- NJMP has given us notice that the facility is closed until further notice, following NJ Gov. Phil Murphy March 16, 2020 Executive Order No. 104 “limiting gatherings of 50 people or more, and among other restrictions”.
- On March 21, 2020 NJ Governor Phil Murphy issued Executive order No. 107, a statewide “Stay at Home” order for New Jersey, which supersedes EO No 104, and adds further restrictions.
We will let everyone know as soon as we have official direction regarding our events, but at this time the NJMP facility is closed until further notice and every non-essential person is under the “Stay at Home” order.
As everyone is aware, the situation is a fluid one, changing daily. We will keep you informed as we gain clarity on this situation.
In the interim, get into the garage and get your cars ready because once we are able to throw the green flags it will be fantastic to get back on track!
